This year, our Summer Reading Challenge program is taking a patriotic and timely look at our nation’s history as we prepare to celebrate 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Each month, the young reader is given a challenge sheet, and prizes are provided each time a challenge sheet is returned. Complete all three challenges (June, July, and August), and get invited to the totally awesome summer reading reading party!

Kibler Library proudly offers several children’s programs aimed at connecting young people of all ages with books and stories they’ll love – all while building and reinforcing their love for reading. Our children’s programs are completely free of charge and open to the public. We hope you’ll visit and join us soon!

Story Time at Kibler Library

Every Wednesday at 10:30 am

All ages welcome! Story Time includes a fun and creative companion craft or experience for each weekly story. Often featuring relevant topics and timely learning focuses, we work hard to pull in different aspects of the current season, upcoming holidays, or topics of interest to our attendees.

Time for Rhythm & Rhyme

Every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 10:30 am

Ideal for children 0 to 4 years of age, Time for Rhythm & Rhyme is focused on our prereaders, getting them familiar with the basics of music, lyrics, moving their bodies, and more! The goal is to help them grow and thrive as they prepare to become young readers. They may not be able to read just yet, but music is the universal language understood by all ages and all cultures!

Kibler Library is staffed almost entirely by volunteers within our community, offering free services such as computer use, copying, faxing, printing, and more! Stop by and grab your library card during our hours of operation.

The Kibler Library is an independent, volunteer-operated public library serving Stanley, Virginia, and the surrounding Page County community.

Our library has a collection of over 15,000 items, which includes fiction and nonfiction books for adults and children, local history and genealogy materials, DVDs, the entire existing collection of the Page News & Courier dating as far back as the late 1800s, and much more!

Can’t find what you’re looking for? We’ll likely be able to order it for you and add it to our collection for the community's use. Just ask a staff member!

As of 2026, there are seven new Internet-accessible computers that may be used free of charge by our adult patrons. There are also two computers dedicated for the use of children; these include fun and educational programs with activities especially for kids.
